For those old enough to remember, from 1968 to 1975 there was a police Procedural TV show on NBC called. "Adam 12". Like many kids of the era I was glued to the 30 minute adventures of Los Angeles Police officers Pete Malloy, and Jim Reed (played by Martin Milner and Kent McCord). Many years later when I was flying, and riding with several local police departments as a friend, and also as a Volunteer photographer, I was thrilled to learn there was a unit designated Adam 12". Sadly most of the cast of this classic show has now passed on. When a noted officer passes on many departments make an End of Watch radio call.
