A quiet read... or not.

Anyone who knows me knows that I dislike being angry, and if I go after someone verbally I can be “rather caustic” with my vocabulary.

Here in Haymarket Virginia we have a beautiful day with bright sunny skies, and a temperature of a 86 degrees (or if you prefer celius, make that 30 degrees).  Thinking it might be a good day to sit in the sun at the nearby  James S. Long Regional park, and enjoy a quiet read for an hour two off I went.  Damn it!!! Unfortunately, it was a game day, and all the parking lots were full.   So I drove around, and eventually found a quiet corner tucked among the trees.  There was literally LESS than 10 feet between my car, and dense trees.  So I start gathering my stuff (what you see in the photo), I look up and there is someone trying to maneuver a large pick up truck around my car, and into the few feet between myself and the trees.  So I ask them why park there when there clearly isn’t space? and they reply that they “wanted a shady spot. as they are going to the game and I was inconsiderate for parking the way I did”. How I responded was not very polite, and I feel sad because their little girl heard every word.   Public parks are for everyone, and a little consideration goes a long way.
